Hetero Biopharma, the biologics arm of Hetero, after successful completion of two webinars for Oncologists and with a mission of REACH-ing every partner, prescriber organized third consecutive interactive webinar session under its knowledge exchange platform KBB(Knowledge Beyond Borders) on “Kidney disease & Renal Replacement Therapy in times of Novel Corona Virus Disease 2019(COVID-19) pandemic.

Dr.Darshan Rangaswamy MD, DM ISN Fellow(Multi-organ transplant, Sydney) Associate professor from Kasturba hospital, Manipal a renowned nephrologist, has narrated the session. Also, two key nephrologists Dr.Muhammad Rafiqul Alam and Dr.Shamim Ahmed from Bangladesh has chaired as panellists for the entire session on current challenge of COVID-19 in renally compromised patients has gathered more than 105 Nephrology doctors from 15 countries of Asia and Africa.

The speaker has focussed on the multiple aspects of renally compromised patients, including dialysis management, post-dialysis management, renal transplant and the advantage of long-acting Darbepoetin(Derise) over other ESAs in anaemia management in chronic kidney disease.

The session has thrown light on the International Society of Nephrology guidelines on safety measures to be followed by patients and health care workers during dialysis. It was a mutual pass on of information on good clinical practice the doctors of following in their respective countries.

Hetero Biopharma launches ‘RILAST,’ the biosimilar Rituximab in Georgia.

Hetero Biopharma, the biologics arm of Hetero, launched the biosimilar Rituximab under the brand name ‘RILAST’ in Georgia with its strategic business partner M/s Zandra life sciences at Tbilisi, the capital city of Georgia, on 22nd January 2020.

Biologics being considered as a novel therapy in this region, the launch event attracted more than 50 plus key opinion leaders from the fields of Rheumatology and Haematology. Hetero Biopharma’s Knowledge sharing initiative “KBB” (Knowledge Beyond Borders) utilized this opportunity in providing insights on biosimilars in the treatment of cancer and other challenging diseases.

Dr. Vikram Shetty, GM – Medico Marketing & Clinical Affairs, Hetero Biopharma, addressed a full-fledged session on how Biosimilars has been helping the doctors and patients to meet the unmet needs. He further elaborated on the usage of Rituximab in multiple Leukemias and Rheumatoid arthritis.

Hetero Biopharma, the biologics arm of Hetero has recently held a CME program at Royal Phnom Penh hospital, under its knowledge sharing initiative “KBB (Knowledge Beyond Borders) hosted at Phnom Penh, Cambodia on 09th January 2020.

More than 20 health care providers from the multiple specialities were gathered with a healthy discussion on “Role of Biologics in Cancer Management”
